Where The Moonbabies Meet

Missing image

Sing in thoughtless patterns
Let the melodies repeat,
Dance until collapsing
Where The Moonbabies meet.

Spin around in circles
Lift off the cold and lonely street.
Find your hope and find composure
Where The Moonbabies meet.

On the wings of imagination
Soars our fearless, flying fleet
Painting rings of possibilities
Where The Moonbabies meet.

Join the thinker's paradise
Join the magical elite,
You're invited to the party
Where The Moonbabies meet.

Listen very closely
And you too, will hear the beat
That echoes loudly through the cosmos
Where The Moonbabies meet.

I was just singing in the same way you have described in your first line which freaks me out a little bit. I love this write. It is brittle and full of bones if that makes any sense. Tony.

Oh, this makes me want to join that group right now! And I think I will, once I beat my writers block. What a playful write, beautiful, peaceful and truly wonderful. I enjoyed the rhyming, which is very hard to master...And you did it perfectly while still making this poem absolutely stunning. I applaud you. Keep it up.

I liked: the metre and rhyme. That was pretty impressive. I have to say that you have a pretty good understanding of how that works.

I disliked: the repetition of the last line in every stanza. To me, because it is repeated too often, it loses its punch. It becomes automatic.

I'm attempting to collect them (poems about the moon) in the group list for "Where The Moonbabies Meet" and have a fair few so far. Thanks for the awesome comment!

    Children will love it.

The periods didn't bother me at all but it might give it a better flow to take them out. I have a moon poem (Moon Songs) and I think I have spotted some others. Perhaps we should group them somehow.
This is playful and teasing. "Moon babies is an intriguing concept. Children would love the poem, and think of the art possibilities! Sorry that I have used up my applause indicators.

This is a very good poem..... I would want you to change the poem a little by taking some of the periods out and maybe put some.... commas or just leave some of the lines without a period or comma after each line.... that is all I have..... other wise your poem is good..... keep on writing.
