I wish...

I wish I could see the sun
And the razor sliced moon
Sending snowflakes of despair
Upon a blanket of soft hay
I wish I could breathe
The soft scent of heaven
Leaving paths of scarred hopes
On a twisted cloud of pain
I wish I could feel the summer's kiss
Upon a hearth of gold where
We were once lovers
And time slowed for what we were and oh
I wish, but times grow old
And I wish I could taste the fire
That will swallow my soul
If I don't set me free
But my cage is to small, I cannot move
And How I wish I could hear the breath of silence
As it swept over rocky plains of warmth
Where my breath could overcome all noise
And where you would be
And how I wish, oh how I wish
It consumes me
It distracts me
It taunts me
But oh how I wish
