Day after day
the year
is gone.
Just another one...
Was it for good?
Was it for bad?
Nobody knows...
Somewhere somebody
was born.
Somewhere somebody
has died.
What is peace
for one
was war
for another.
Year after year
the life
survives.
Why?
Because every day
of every year
we celebrate
the birthday
of love...

"Somewhere somebody
was born.
Somewhere somebody
has died."
These lines stuck out the most to me b/c it is like a synopsis for the whole poem. that life is bittersweet- though some live and some die all will be remembered and loved by some and forgotten or hated by others but life keeps on going and as we have been born sometime soon it will be our turn to die and usher in another life.
thank you for your entry

This is a lovely sentiment, often forgotten in day to day struggles. Will try to keep it in mind as long as my feeble old mind can. Lovely write.
