Today is so special to me
one year ago today
I accepted Jesus Christ
into my heart to stay
Washed and cleansed
with the blood of Christ
because He loved me
God's son was sacrificed
This year was emotional
overwhelming many times
as I typed out my poetry
praising God with rhymes
Still taking baby steps
as I walk with the Lord
I still sing out in praise
in such sweet accord
Lord I felt my Holy Spirit
stirring from deep within
as my day of reckoning
let my Salvation begin
You asked me no question
you took me sins and all
You have picked me up
each time I stumble and fall
The path has been weary
sometimes hard for me
but your loving arms Lord
they keep guiding me
I have come so very far
just to walk by your side
for so many years Lord
Your existence I denied
But here I stand today
celebrating my rebirth
waiting for eternal life
when I leave this Earth

Well it is one year ago today I was saved. Thank you so much Jason (live4eternity) for reaching out and guiding me this past year. Thank you for alway being there and teaching me so much. And thank you Charles (Onfire4Jesus) for picking me up as I struggled. With your love and kindness you bring such joy into my life. You have helped me so much and have been there everyday. Thank you Jacob (Arcomage) for being there to listen when I was lost and confused. Thank you Josh for teaching me the scriptures in the Bible. And sweet Ashley (algaford7053) whos love for God is such an inspiration to me. So young and such a thirst for God And my new Christian friend Michael. (Arsenic) We are both trying to strengthen our faith in God through our friendship. Thank you Jason, Charles, Josh for the Bible studies and playing your guitars and songs of praise you sing all the time. I am truly blessed with them and a wonderful family and AP family. It has been quite a year. God has truly blessed me. Thank you Jesus for loving me.

WOW!! This is SOOOO good. I really like it alot. I recently became a christian in the last couple months and every time i hear or see something like this i know it was worth it. God is good all the time.

That's a wonderful poem...I a christian my self...accepting Jesus Christ when I was nine, can feel your poem, it's an amazing thing to have someone walking with you every step of the way, carrying you in the most troubling times. Bravo. I apllaud.

Wow, that's so gorgeous. I can't believe you've only been a Christian for a year. You act like one who's grown up in the faith. Well, actually, sometimes people grown up in their faith take advantage of it, and people new to it bring that vigour in that really everyone should have. This was a very sweet poem.

I remember that early time. It is very special. As I look back I know it's pure mercy and grace that has kept me. Many times I thought about forgetting it all, and each time I thought like Peter did when he said "To whom shall we go, thou hast the words of eternal life." May you continue to increase in Him.
