London Bombs

Commuters on the morning train,
On their way to work again.
Not expecting what's going to come,
Fear and Fire they start to run,
Up and Down the streets you see,
Shocked and Angry - it could be me!
Eventually silence - not a sound,
Dead and injured on the ground.

The sirens going loud and clear,
Events are being filled with fear,
Rescuers are here to help,
Responding to anothers Yelp,
On the ambulances people go,
Rush, rush, rush - the can't be slow.
In and out the twisting towers,
Speeding past the drooping flowers,
Trucks and buses on their way,
Saving lives through out the day.

A most wonderful tribute...and a simple yet effective write. I loved the flow as it seemed to slip right out as silk over skin...hehe. Anyway, I think you wrote here what so many people were feeling that day, why again, why again...and this time to an ally? Great job!
