Artistic Passions

The love of a man
With his head in his hands
And the silence around him
Collides with the passion of his brush

Small strokes
Of unusual, vivid colors
Bleeding onto paper
Displaying thoughts;
Wandering, bustling, eager

Meticulous eyes, strained lips
Hard at work, concentrating
As masterpieces evolve...

And the world around him
Appears to be oddly enchanting

The wind becomes a voice
The sun sparkles in a different manner
The blue in the sky is of a much richer shade
The waters ripple with lively grace

An artist hard at work;
His thoughts, passions, dreams...

...In the stroke of his brush <3*

Author notes

A conversation between Nik (FairyOnMy Wall) and me Quite inspiring. The poem explains how artists paint and produce unimaginative and beautiful artwork through a faint connection between his brain and his hands. His thoughts, passions, loves...everything running through their wandering minds at once and shows up, beautifully and creatively, on the blank facade of paper. My cousin, Sean, inspired me to right this poem as well. He is an AMAZING beyond belief artist and his work is mind-blowing. I was attempting to get inside of his head (as well as all those other artists out there ) and scrape up some explanation to how thoughts are transferred onto paper. And my answer: the mind.

Anyways...it's kinda rough I suppose. I don't particularly like the piece. But I was inspired, I tried my best

    Thank you for the tip Nikki! The line actually read graceful liveliness, not lividness. But even so...lively grace sounds a lot more powerful yet simple then graceful liveliness. I changed it and it sounds so much better! You're advice is great as always! Thanks doll

    wow darling, i really like it even if you dont...its my favorite that you've written for a while!!!! my only suggestion is that graceful lividness becomes livid grace...other than htat it flowed seamlessly from one bit to the next, very cool
