Thy Gentleness

It is the way Your mighty arms
Draw me in such a close embrace,
And tender eyes encourage me
As I look on Your loving face.

It is Your quiet, soothing voice
That makes my fearful heart to sing;
For even when You give rebukes
They are the "sweetest everything."

And when You offer me Your hand,
No other hand I want to know;
Because I have Your confidence
That You will never let me go.

The gestures of a loving God
Bestowed upon my sinful state
I'm thankful for, because I know
"Thy gentleness hath made me great."

    A delightful write...

    A delightful write; can sense the gentleness of God from the softness of your words; He is a loving God and we are blessed to know Him; nicely done. --Joe
