There's a Child in London

There's a child in London
who still doesn't know,
what happened to his daddy,
and why life has slowed.

There's a child in London
now laying in a bed,
attached to tubes and monitors,
bandages covering their head.

There's a child in London
no one will ever meet.
Mommy took the tube;
life ended; incomplete.

There's a child in London
unconsolable with tears,
As they learn of the terror,
The child finds comfort in prayers.

There's a child in London
who will never be the same,
and as they grow up,
they'll learn who to blame.

My comment was meant to be sarcastic, I just thought you were putting all the blame on Muslims yourself, but obviously that's not the case. Anyway this poem is very true, though I notice how terrorism comes to supplant far worse troubles in the public and media's mind. For instance 'Make Terrorism History' instead of 'Make Poverty History' even though the latter kills far more.

    WOO!

I love this poem! I actually cried on the 7th... and I don't cry. Anyways, yeah... they'll know to blame the extremists, not the Muslims. Islam is a beautiful religion, but the people who do these things are just nuts... Good write, keep it up!

    Excellent

Very well expressed, You capture the feelings of all in your poem. I could comment on the evil doing of terrorists all day.
Unfortunately it would not help the child. Children don't really understand and neither do we.. Thank you for your poem.

    Deep

London, New York, Madrid, Oklahoma City , you name the place, you will find that child. What is the answer? Has compassion died? When does the will of the disenfranchised few condenm the lives of the innocents. There is a child in Baghdad who straps explosives on his frail body, and destroys everything for the sake of someones greed, and someones stupidity in thinking that act will do anything but cause a hole in our hearts.
Sorry for the rant, but the subject is very painful.
    Peace right now,
    Ed

That's really really good. I like how you used all the different positions that a child could have in this situation. Very captivating. Worthy of applause.

ThoughtCrime: I'm sorry but I'd like to keep this from turning to a general blanket accusation. I do not blame all Muslims and neither should you. The act was done by specific people, those are who should be blamed. Stereotyping is horrid. Please keep your political and religious accusations to yourself when posting, thank you.
