Perpetuation

Sadness grips my desire,
Desire turns into hate,
Anger propels my pain,
My heart turns into stone,
Weighing me down,
Trying to forget you,
Trying to hate you,
I can't, though I'm trying so hard,
I hate not hating you,
And it pulls me under.
