Paul and Sydney (prequal)

The wind blows with murder
and it's scent can be picked up
miles away
bodies are found in dumpsters
or piles of hay
life is cheap
and those who take it are cheaper
and they will pay
for taking joy from the reaper

one particular murder
will have the world in shock
people will pray for she who took the saw
and the witnesses will look with awe
in an instant
a diamond will be taken from the mines
and the Lord will judge her
and the Devil will hug him
and time will keep ticking, but not in vain

a baby will pay
five months, plus nine in the womb
with her soft golden strands
twisted into wisps
she will cry, and vitality will stain her
as she painfully clutches to life
she will pay the ultimate price for another man's insanity
and he will be mislead
by a tainted mind...

This is not good... this is GREAT. Great poem lith, I loved reading it from beginning and to the end. It's gruesome but very deep. Thanks for sharing this man. I'll be sure to read your other ones later!

Where'd this one come from???? (I'll expect the inside "dirt" on this one! ) As always, lith, your work leaves me stunned! I'm always a bit "shell shocked" after reading! This was quite a powerful piece! One that has a prophetic tone to it. This was like a well orchastrated riddle. One that I hope I'll eventually know the details of! (But then they say that "curiousity killed the cat," huh?) Fabulous work, sweets!

This was absolutely gruesome. Wonderful write as always. I can't believe you try to tell me that you can't write, because every time I read one of your poems, I become increasingly impressed. Much love, hun.
