(Criswell rises from coffin)
Greetings! You have come here in search of the bizarre, the unexplained.
be warned! Future events like this will effect YOU in the future. We can no longer keep this a secret! Are you ready for the shocking, TRUE story of Tim Burton!
You gave us thrills with Batmans cape
As the Dark knight beat the Joker.
Edward Scissorhands left our hearts agape.
with a face good for playing poker.
Beetlejuice, with some wacky ghosts
taught us friendship doesn't end with death.
and Ed Woods shocking, but truthful boasts
kept us laughing with every breath
Jack Skellington and his spooky crew
Gave us the Nightmare before Christmas
And Mars Attacks, with ugly aliens, too
showed Earth some nasty business.
so, Tim Burton, here's to your art,
for meeting our sci/fi demands
Long may geeks love you with all of their hearts
Salute from your biggest of fans!

Ah Criswell! How he is missed! If only he had survived to greet us at the beginning or more films! Think if he had introduced "Love Story" or if he had starred in "Forest Gump"......

I loved the beginning to this piece. Not many people have a foreward like that. The layout was fabulous, what with the intro and then the following poem. I think Tim would get a kick out of this one.

well this is a tribute to tim burton, who did a film about ed wood. but, now that you mention it, i should do a poem about ed wood himself! thanks for the idea! i'll get composing on that.

This is quite good! Sadly no reference to Plan 9 or the angoras, gems of the art of Edward W. But quite an amusing little poem for us cine-buffs.

I agree with Ricochet Rabbit in that as a fan poem, it's all good but I don't think it could amount to much outside that category.
I do like it, though. I'm a huge Tim Burton fan and I've seen almost all his movies and I'm definately looking foreward to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I hadn't heard of Tim Burton before but am aware of the films. thanks for putting things together. You blended them almost seamlessly into the rhythm of the piece so (Ricochet Rabbit) even though I am definitely not a fan I can appreciate the writers skill.
Well Done -

hahaha i thought this was a wonderful tribute to the great and mysterious tim burton... very well written and well said... bravo! i loved the words...
Have a great day now -
What I liked: Usually, I am not a big fan of boldface fonts, but because this is about Tim Burton, I think I it complements him. I can also see you are a big fan.
What I didn't like: As a piece of fan tribute, this is nice -- but I don't think it can be appreciated as something beyond just a fan tribute.
