Really

The Truth Hurts

You know the truth hurts
So why torture yourself
You know in your heart
The pain makes you aware
Aware of every move I make
You're watching me
I feel your eyes on me
Watching me
But the truth is
We're over and
The truth hurts...
doesn't it?

yes the truth does hurt, that's an old cliche...good poets don't use cliches, they find their own way to use language.

i think there's a spelling mistake in this line:

    You know in you heart

    should it be "your"?

the truth hurts: this is not an example of a good poem. it does not contain images, metaphors or insight...

i hope i haven't been too mean, but the truth hurts...
