Our country was hit by the terrorists.
9/11 to July the 7th
How did things end up going so far?
My thoughts are with the families of those killed in the blast
I doubt that this attack is going to be the last.
I'm sorry to say
This problem won't go away.
Now it's closer to home
Sit up and take notice.
I said it would happen before much longer
Now it's this countries turn to be that much stronger.
So lets all be brave, and lets all be strong
because we know these terrorists have done wrong.
Bring them to justice that's what I say
Even though these problems will never go away.
Author notes

My thoughts are with the whole of London and England and especially those who have lost friends and family today.

This is a powerful poem with a solemn message. As much as we here in the US and you over in Great Britian want to think terrorism won't touch us, the grim reality is that terrorism is a way of life. It's so sad and so frightening. Bravo for writing a poem that touches us deeply. God bless you and your country. With love - joanne
