To look at me you would not think
That I was once at the very brink
Looking over the cliff, at the fall
Thinking will he end it all?
So many times he came so near
Strangling me one could smell my fear
What is it that could be worse
He threw knife at our infant girl I place a curse
Screams I yelled and none were heard
No neighbors answered not a word
Til one came late and walked right by
I reached out, call the police I cried
So in return for physical and mental abuse
I hope for you bad karma times three for my amuse
Author notes
Unfortunatly this actually happened to me. But I got away thanks to someone walking by and my daughter unharmed.

Ah my kindred spirit!
Thank you so much! But remember you need to keep writing also! You do great on short stories!!! Of course I need to remove my writer's block and get back to my novel also so I guess I'm not one to talk! -
fantastic!
you've an unbridled talent to write...and you write what you, sometimes sadly, know. regardless of what has come to pass...i know that you're a very strong person, and a wonderful friend. i can hardly wait to read more! keep them coming! -
