Blue Eyes Never Saw The Sun

A special star shines in the sky,
for little child never born.
Cute little giggle never heard,
the little booties never worn.

This tiny child wanted to live,
and be held and cuddled so near.
To hear mommy say I love you,
and daddy sooth night time fear.

Her blue eyes never saw the sun,
never rocked in her mother's arms.
Never had the chance to smile,
nor dazzle daddy with her charms.

Her tiny life gone in a moment,
with twist of the knife she died.
She was not able to cry her tears,
nor was she able to run and hide.

Her little fingers stopped moving,
her heart stopped beating too,
This precious baby's life was gone.
it was the convenient thing to do.

When did life become meaningless,
when did guilt disappear from view.
Why are so many voices silent,
yet for the grace of God go you.

Why do we allow these abortions,
a baby, a gift from God to behold.
Child loved from her conception,
birth, greatest story ever told.

    i love it.

in the 2nd stanza 2nd line i think you should drop the and.
    then connect night and time?
instead of those, perhaps hers ?
    from view -add a ?-
    to behold -add a ?-
    perhaps try birth,
    greatest story ever told.

    BRILLIANT

Your words could bring me to tears. I have a ten month old grandson, TRENTON. I also worked in the medical field for twenty years, nine in ultrasound. If people think that little blob isn't alive in that womb, then they are messed up in the head. If they can't deal with having the baby that they created, then the female should keep a penny between her legs so no conception will occur. THEN, they have to face GOD, who loves children, and tell him their sob story. I'm not judging, just stating facts. I love your awesome penning! YOU GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the best write I have ever read on why

Why indeed for to take a life in any form is against God so where does that leave the one who kills without thought . The world has lost all meaning of love for the unborn which has no say except through God and yes he will have his say in the end . Never ever take a childs life from this world of his for to destroy a gift from God is destroying oneself for this form of greed is only held in hell a place you will come to know

    This is extremely sad,
    And I agree.
    I've always been against abortion.
    This is powerful.
    Vivid,
    Or at least, to me.
    Almost too much.
    Well,
    Either way,
    Good luck in the contest,
    And God bless.

    -Saint

This poem really hit me. The thought of someone killing their baby always made me so sad and angry, but even moreso that I had a miscarriage in May. The moment I found out I was pregnant I fell in love with my baby...when my baby died I was devasted. I don't understand how anyone could take away the life of a baby. It is a human being, not just a fetus, at conception.
Your write is very powerful, and well done.

This was a great poem and so true, thare are so many abortions every day but no one cares, each baby is a gift of god but barley anyone sees that. Even though that mother and or couple may not want it thare is always some one out thare that would love to adopt that baby. But that child will never see the light of this world its really quite horrible to think about and im really glad that you wrote this poem because it reminded me of how painful the thought of a poor little child never seeing the light of day, is to me. I really praise your poem, i hope to see more such awesome poems from you.

It is wrong to take a childs life but if it is taken before its given a chance to grow thats ok because somepeople cant take care of a child, can't afford a child, and couldnt manage to give it up because if they gave birth to the child it would become apart of them. You captured a horrid subject in a beautiful way.

Sandy I love this! Its so cute and so sad because i know of many just in my school that have gotten more than one abortion. I've done research on it and stuff and i find it so horrible. How someone could kill a baby before it had a chance to live is beyond me. Well Great Job Mom! ~Niki

That is such a meaningful poem but I have to write that there are some people who couldn't take being pergeant or giving up the child. It is a good poem but there are some people who would give up their child but their afarid that they'll love the child to much to give it up and they still might not be able to take care of them. I do agree if the child is past the 4 month it shouldn't be killed but if the child is before that that month it betters then. Its still cruel but still.

Oh My, this is a wonderful poem!
I am with you on this one. I understand that young people have sex, and get pregnant...but if you cant care for a child no matter what the reason is, there is adoption. The child did not ask to be conceived, therefor, the child does not deserve to die. If the baby has a beating heart, its alive..and abortion is murder in my book..
    Thanks for writing this...Its great..
    Tammy
