Jesus Laughed

Imagine the famous scene of Christ finding Lazurus dead, captured in all its pathos with the words, "Christ wept."

Now imagine a new scene of Christ finding you dead captured in all its pathetic insignificance with the words "Christ laughed."

    Good write

Perfectly depiction of a 2 act play that requires no words to convey the message contained within the plot.

    Well done!!

    Delightful

Jesus sees the sparrows fall . . . and snickers.

I doubt he would spare a suicide the recognition of laughter.

But those cults with their poisoned punch . . .

those have got to fucking *slay* him.

I won't get into theology over this cause I don't think that was your intention. Philosophically, this is a good piece. Poetically, it was well written and laid out for effect. Theologically, it's grossly inaccurate.

I'd say you hit the nail on the head for this contest, though.

Hm, interesting, totally at odds with my previous ideas. It would have to be very funny indeed.

How freakin' sad! But I doubt Christ would even acknowledge my existence, he's more likely accidentally kick dirt over my decaying body as he wandered by looking for significant experiences. The two lines are cool, funny/depressing but cool.

Using only two lines is difficult. So I made it easier by simply taking a powerful short verse from the bible and tried to find a way to give it some bite and darkness. I like your interpretation of these two lines better than I liked my own interpretation. Yours was darker.

I like this too. It's very true. People do such stupid things or kill themselves for stupid reasons and you know that Jesus has to be ashamed. I'm not much for the Bible so I don't know the scene where Christ found Lazurus dead. I'm ashamed now. This is very good thank you so much for entering my contest.
