She was but ten when first I met the one
Who in but nine brief years would be my wife.
And since those years together had begun,
They flowed with won'drous joy, devoid of strife.
And soon a child was born, and then one more,
Three girls, two boys, the last a big surprise.
In time they grew and twas not long before
The two now left had to reorganize.
And so, retired, we came back home to live,
To share with children and with parents here,
Because today we've still so much to give,
This mother and aspiring sonneteer.
From forty six long years of wedded bliss,
Susan, Michael, Sheli, Diane and Chris.

yes, you did say what you wanted to, sometimes that is more important than being 'fancy'. your story is a great one. it's fairly rare these days I think.
