Fading

Her worries drip in scarlet, away-
darkness edges at her eyes,
there is no pain or grief she feels-
just lonely emptiness inside.

No one cared, no one cried
when she vanished in the night.
No one called her broken name,
no one brought her back to life.

All that remains is an unmoving corpse
of a tragic girl who rests at last,
a girl not seen, now lost forever-
her talents a secret of the past.

Soon she's forgotten by everyone,
mingled with distant memories-
a nameless face, a fading voice
now whispering among the saddened trees.

Lost by crimson remorse
