Seem to See

The music beats
The city streets
It's heart, it's lungs, it's soul to keep
The fainted, fallen on their feet
The floor where restless people meet
Escape their disregarded sleep
Watch the bodies, ice cold in heat
Enter the atmosphere to feed
Upon the living soul that breathes
A temporary high to thee
Where the sun no longer sees
And to the gods, remain discrete
The principles that we mistreat
Upon dancing to the music's beat
The nightlife on this city's street
That's all it is, that's what you'll be
The escape you only seem to see

At the same time this could be in praise of the good living, music clubing, night life that exists in so may cities OR it could be a lament for the lost souls who are forced to live on the streets of those same cities.
Either way it is an emotive piece and has its own power.
    Fine work.

This wraps up life very well, i like the last line, because sometimes we feel we have escaped only to find we havn't. A well written piece so very well done.

i LOVE the rhythm, dahling, and the clever pun that no-one'll ever, ever get, not in a million years of waiting because people are stupid.
