Dear God, there is debate these days
About whether you exist,
And if you do, what form is true.
But, God, I tell you,
I question you not,
For you've proven yourself
A billion times plus.
Dear God, you gave us Bonnie,
In your likeness she is made.
To your word she is ever true,
And to those near her
A prime example of love,
Of strength, of hope, of You.
She is dear to those she meets.
Dear God, you give us nothing better
Than this beautiful women before us,
To show us what is good in this world.
Though she suffers she never gives up,
And she makes the world a stronger place.
Through her we learn what life can be,
Her words, her life, her strength.
Dear God, I hope you are listening,
We love our Bonnie so...
And she knows you love her, too.
Please help to guide us in our quest
To bring that smile back to us.
If ever the world had something blessed,
It's this woman you have gifted us.

This poem is for our beloved Bonnie, get well soon, hun! We miss you!
I hope this was ok as a prayer. I'm not Christian myself, so I made it sort of open ended. But either way, I do hope this prayer is heard and I hope Bonnie is smiling while reading it.

Oh, Erin, this is such an exquisite prayer and I know our Father Creator heard you along with everyone else! Thank you so much for your prayers and wonderful poem submitted to Patricia's contest on my behalf during my hospitalization and resulting surgery for a deadly brain aneurysm. I do believe all the prayers on my behalf raised up a mighty roar in heaven as they lifted up from all over the world! A nice prayer/peom. I am currantly an agnostic but I admire people who have unwavering faith in god. I wish I could believe in something that entirely. But unfortunately, I am a cynic. born and rasied. Is Bonnie your child? She is very luck to have a mother like you. I hope that if there is a god he hears your grateful prayer and I hope that your daughter or neice or who ever bonnie may be know just how much you love her. I wish both you and bonnie the best of luck in all of your life. Thank you for the wonderful peom. -

Erin, I know nothing about your religious beliefs, but it's obvious that you truly believe in God. This came from your heart, and that's all that matters. No Christian could have said it better.
