Hummingbird (Cinquain)

Flitting,

Buzzing around,

Darting among the blooms,

A blur, suspended motionless

In air.

What a fantastic cinquain. I think it is just phrased perfectly. Good job

Thank you! That is what prompted this. I am doing a series of nature cinquains. I am amazed at what there is to write about, in just the little things people overlook. You can find them in my Butterfly Songs list. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment. I appreciate it very much.

Lovely cinquain! I saw one this last weekend too. Thus is a really short form -- I have tried haiku, but not these yet.
