So many things about him
Overwhelm me
And when I smell his cologne
I swear, I go crazy
And the second his hand meets mine
My life begins to take on a brighter meaning
When his arm brushes up against mine,
Those chills that are sent right through my spine -
They paralyze me
And when he touches my cheek or lifts my chin
My body and mind shut down from overdrive.
As he draws me closer and closer
The anticipation frustrates me to no end
My heart realizes by then
The only reasonable thing to do is give in
And we kiss.
I could never describe the gentleness and softness
That brings me straight to my knees
And shatters every one of my defenses.
Everything he does makes me feel priceless.
Every secret we share just brings us closer
And although I never thought it'd happen,
The inevitable has now occurred -
I am in love, even though I sometimes hate it
If I was with someone else,
I wonder if I'd still feel this -
Is all that's going on just attraction
Or is there something more than my fabrication?

Those two parts just blew me away completly...like Jenny...you don't even know...lol.
This is a very good piece, very personal to you I assume. I'm glad you've shared this.
Now if you can only share it with your special friend will you truly feel the joy of your poetry.
But perhaps you have? All I know is that I've done it before and truly it was one of the happiest moments of my life.
But that doesn't matter, all that matters is that you are happy and you are doing what makes YOU happy.

Aww this is a really sweet love poem. I love how you used the word fabrication. It's different, not seen in many poems. Everything in the poem you described I can totally relate to. You did a good job on this poem. -
I agree with her you have always written with amazing emotion and you still are. This poem is incredible. I really like it. If his name is Matt like she says then he is one hell of a lucky guy and congrats to you for finding a guy that makes you feel like that. Keep up the good work.
