Winter Sprites

The pines were filled with glinting sprites
of flickering and fluttering colored lights.
Only at Yuletide did they shine and gleam,
Spending long winter nights in the evergreens.
Perched upon needles they would contentedly stay,
With their regal collections of wings in array.

Author notes

I love Christmas time and was looking at the colored lights on the tree when this kind of came to me.
Hope you Enjoy!

This was really good, Im surprised no one commented on it. I don't usually like rhyming but the rhythme in this poem was very well done
    Keep writing.
