Tread along a variety
of roads--paved and brick.
Once the traffic light
turns to green,
she will be gone towards
the next light.
It's a race against
my own daughter,
her will against mine.
Yes, eleven is too late!
Eleven at night
only allows me
a single hour
to catch up,
to hold her
before tomorrow
steals my child away...

the connection between a mother and daughter is very powerful. One thing I noticed was that you switched who the mother seemed to be speaking to without a transition. Otherwise, good luck in the contest.

The whole thing was a run on sentence. I don't even bother reading these ones.
