Compound Of All Things Atticus

A wonderful thing is the Vatican.

Holds more priests in its closet than an attic-can.

Since there’s been so much noise over molesting young boys…

We’ll but ‘em in boy scouts- they’ll fit in automatic-an

A wonderful thing is a gun.

In the right hands it can be very fun.

Now, I’m not suggesting

We shoot those protesting…

But, if we must shoot someone…

A wonderful thing is a mountain
thousands of feet up and still countin'
from base to the peak
you could travel a week
up to be amazing its amountin'

Even though you are growing old,

Hopefully you won’t grow mold.

As the days get short, and life grows cold,

Be happy that you don’t have mold.

For mold can be a horrible thingy.

Its reaaaally bad, and so’s gang-green-y

Rarely is anything as soothing,

Having not been made for wear.

Your haunting cadence is so moving

That we can forget we’re there.

Hours lost in an endless noise

Marred not by arrangement.

This, I found mostly amusing. As in, pretty-fuckin'-funny amusing.

It's the second stanza, I suppose that won me over.

While "Compound Of All Things Atticus" is partly scatterbrained and arbitrary, there are also phrases that are extremely witty and sarcastic.

The smilies, as well as "RANDOM!!! // aslkfjlaskfj!" bugged the crap out of me, admittedly.

But the rest of it amused my brain so much that the annoyed parts were simply overruled.

    Thank you for entering,
    Cypress
