Falling

The sensation of falling in love
feeling the rapture and Ecstasy
the feeling of contentment forever
growing together passionately

The sensation of falling for lies
when only the truth will set me free
free from the hurt and all lifes sorrow
that I allow them to inflict on me

The sensation of falling from grace
knowing God is truly the only one
that can give you the inner strength
as life becomes unraveled and undone

The sensation of falling far behind
going nowhere except where I have been
two steps forward three steps back
will I ever see true happiness again

The sensation of falling rain upon me
masquerading my tears I cry each day
standing alone with a broken friendship
you promised I would never feel this way

The sensation of falling into despair
reality intertwined with desperation
trying to hold on to my faith in God
as thoughts race in my imagination

The sensation of falling into oblivion
with no one to catch me on the ground
you promised me you would be there
you don't answer,  it is a lonely sound

The sensation of falling down forever
tumbling through my endless sorrow
spinning out of control in the darkness
hoping I shall not wake up tomorrow

What a wonderful contest poem that should of won.  Wonderful flow of words, and awsome detail.  Real good detail and it was a pleasure to read.

Oh my goodness! This is filled with such pain..sorrow..and angst. Bravo! You create a sort of tension and it flows so nicely to the end of the poem. Well done

    WONDERFUL COMMENT

Thank you shubs. We all fall in love so easily but when it is over it takes forever to fall out of love. And sometimes we never do. Always love your comments. Take care, Sandy

The sensation of falling is depicted well out here Sandy and from all the positions that we can fall and fall flat are demonstrated amply with superb examples with the right dosage of emotions and thoughts..even though just a contest poem==Shubs
