How can I tell you
How much you mean to me
I know you wont believe it
I know that I must take a chance
Emotions do not come easily
Am I the wrong person, wrong time
Or am I right
I cant decide what to do
After all these years
I've never once
Shown the correct emotion
I dont know if you feel the same
I dont want to be hurt
By a possible rejection
If the friendship crumbles
All because of my feelings
Maybe it would be best
To go our separate ways
I'd hate to know if you're hurting
We seem to relate all too well
Just know that the song my heart sings
Is only sung for you

i wrote the poem june.24.2004, and title may.22.2005.
i've liked a friend of mine, ever since 9th grade.
im pretty sure that he doesnt feel the same way.
but i wrote this last year...and now i've clammed up.
nothing i want to say comes out, so i sit in my silence.
