Day Dreaming

Beneath the weeping willow
The canvas of grass I lay
Softly whispering in the wind
I begin to fade

My mind set adrift
A special place I arrive
So peaceful, so perfect
In my mind's eye

Surrounded by warmth
Filled with joy
Heaven set
You my love

Emerald eyes
More precious than stone
Shining through my very soul
A golden smile
Warmer than that of the sun
Melting my heart

Delicious lips
Sweeter than wine
Intoxicating all that I am
Hair of waves
More inviting than the ocean
Calling for my touch

Arms of security
More than any steel
Protecting me from harm
Gentle hands
More than any child
Wiping my tears as I cry

Perfect body
More than any God could be
Fueling my deepest desires
Old soul
More than time itself
Teaching me of the love it holds

Innocence so pure
Must be a sin
Corrupting all that I am
Love so true
Must be fake
Playing and teasing my heart

All that I want
All that I need
All that you are
Perfect in every way
But I cannot have thee
After all, this is just my day dream...

and the willow smiles a bit under it's shaggy hanging head as love plays out beneath it's umbrella of shaded bliss...Artis
