OK...I'm impressed :)) :))
I like the way your thoughts flow...they mirror my own in ways ;)
Especially this:
"Through the eyes
of the Heart
by the sense
of the Soul -
There is All
that is"
It is too easy for the senses to be deceived when looking only through the eyes themselves. True vision is felt, and to feel is to see from within.Wonderful words of wisdom :)

Like others who have commented I too found this to be an important reminder to listen to and feel those things which aren't tangible but rather felt from within. Succinct truth, penned with elegance.
-
Beautiful I agree with you though Awnser everything with a question and when there are no questions... You've found truth

wow- it must have been the divine that led me to your page at this exact time, because I was just struggeling with why the heck we have desire, or feelings when this life prevents them from ever materializing. I like this poem, and I still believe what you say is the 'true world', but I have become somewhat cynical since talking to you last regarding ever connecting with it. Anyway, glad to see you still writing. I enjoyed this!
-
Loved it - you have a knack for getting to the simple truth in a few eloquent words.

This is so true and beautiful. It reminds me of a quote which I have up on my bedroom wall:
"The most beautiful things in the world can not be seen, or even touched. They must be felt with the heart."--Helen Keller
Thank you for the wonderful reminder that the only things which are truly Real are those which our hearts touch.
Love and light,

I like
This piece presents a philosophical conundrum to me by making sense of the senseless in the context o sensual understanding... (smile) -
Thank you, forty-one
I'm pleased it struck a chord for you.
One of my favourite quotes on this theme is from Maya Angelou:
"People may forget the things you say, they may forget the things you do, but they never forget how you make them feel!"

I think that every now and then, we need little reminders of something we dream of. Something that tells us of their existence. I think I'm in a period where I need to be reminded of this.
Not what is seen
or touched
but what is felt
is real.
Those words are screaming volumes to me.
Thanks for that!

yes this is so true,

To sidewinder:
Thank you, Bill!
Your comment reminded me of something by Blake..
There is a smile of love,
And there is a smile of deceit,
And there is a smile of smiles
In which these two smiles meet.
- William Blake

to touch in those places where smiles are needed...
kindness is met
and love is found in its simplicity.
Heep penning on one stroke at a time!

Excellent
We take in much of what we are exposed. We tend to retain mostly those things we focus. A person chooses of the many options surrounding one the area of focus. This is how I view your poem, though not quite as you meant.

Where is thy form, that it would come to me coalesced from cooperation of the ether conspiring with the desires of my mind? Why can I not see the swirling movements of eternal truths as they would solidify into the illusions which I hold on to. Why can I not experience the peace and serenity of the love contained in what I would call "lettuce"? Am I that asleep? Is my heart afraid to see and know and BE?
-
no point of reality could ever conspire me to believe in the solid form. Take, and let it all just melt in with the rest of the sub quarks. A singularity? We do not have the power to become.
Well itterated point -
To The Phoenix Returns:
That's not what I've said, Aashik. I'm speaking of ultimate Reality, that which is, and endures beyond transient things.
-
Why is what we see or touch not real?
-
Yes Ge, few words telling a great truth!

OOOOOHHHHH!!! I get it now
that last part went right over my head the first time i read it. this is very large in poetic stature in spite of its brevity. the sentiment displayed in this is strong and for this reader rings very true, exceptional Maat...peace Terry
-
Yessssss! Nothing else to say.
-
sublime simplicity ... as always i enjoyed.
-
excellent
Wonderful, lovely. How true this is. I know it is because I felt it so. Brava! SirPort -
Thank you, suseann!
Yes, it is "embellished with the other senses" indeed. It is necessary that we show and prove our, or others', intent by our physical senses, but how they make us Feel determines their ultimate Truth.
~G

To DeeCrepit,
Thank you, Terry!
Yes, 'heard' is somewhat implied in 'seen' as that perceived by physical senses. Yet it is the 'sense' of the Soul which determines the Reality of all our perceptions, when we 'listen' to it
~G
-
Well done my dear. And how true
-
This is what my day is all about! My faith in love was restored today
this poem is so timely for how I gfeel at this moment! -
I think the "seen and touched" should include heard, for they have been disqualified as sources of reality by the commercial media and their electronic advertising. I agree completely with the truth of the rest of this poem. Succinct, Gennelle, as so many of your works tend to be, it is evidence as much of a wonderfully organized mind, as of the sureness of understanding.
A real treat.
Terry -
I agree. Love is felt with the heart.Often imbellished with the other senses. Very beauiful way to describe what is real to the minds eye.~~~~Suseann
-
Thank you, Margaret!
Hehe! Oh great Seer, I believe you.
~G
-
Dear Gennelle, I foresee controversy in your future.
This is the dual vision that we have been discussing on and off. The underlying reality is not available to our senses, but we have other senses we can develop for it. I think you are more certain of them than I.
I love it.
