Love's Many Colors

Missing image
The magnificence of the garnet
is the beauty of it's many colours
given in love to a sweetheart
to the one He truly adores

The spectacular reds and greens
range from emerald to raspberry
yellow , orange and even brown
beautiful colours that often vary

The garnet is also the birthstone
for the month called January
given on the second anniversary
to honor the one you marry

Legend says Noah hung a garnet
for it's brilliance of illumination
turning darkness into brightness
helping Noah and God's creations

It is also said of those that wear it
shall have guidance in the night
protect them from their nightmares
and the visions of terrible fright

In ancient Egypt it has been said
it is an antidote for a snake bite too
also an antidote for food poisoning
the garnet is so beneficial for you

This precious gem is so colorful
its glimmer is far beyond compare
show your love in a very special way
give a garnet to your sweet lady fair

Author notes

Garnet is a stone of deep red color and is usually easily distinguished from the brighter red ruby. As it is red, it is highly associated with strength, protection, energy, passion, and sex. Garnet is a stone of abundance and can help stimulate material gains, business success, productivity, imagination, and self-confidence. It promotes healing of the heart, lungs, blood, skin, and relieves inflammation. Garnet are often given as tokens of romantic love or friendship. The garnet was sacred to the Aztecs, Mayans, Native North and South Americans, Africans, and Egyptians. They are found in India, Africa, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, and the United States.

You taught me sometime this time.

I must say that now you have taught this gemstone hunter a lesson about Noah and the garnets in the graphic are indeed the colors of the garnet, they range from a green one to the brilliant orange one. The mine in Virginia that I go to is very famous for them as well. I will give you a link later to that rock club so you can see.
