Peace

“Peace that passes all understanding”

Each day I stumble on, until the light of day is gone.
Each night I stare at the sky, and my mind wonders why?
I do not sleep because I must wake, that thought makes me shake.
It hurts at each breathe I take, at the choices I must make.

For Gods sake, I wish for a break.
For Gods sake, I know the choice I must make.

I made a mistake before, at my heart it torn
Because I thought it was something I must bear,
unknowing it was something I could not even share.

The wind blew in my face, it was time to fix my pace
Again I stared at the sky, and lifted my hands high.
I began to cry, because I felt like I was going to die.
I could not hold the burden on my shoulders, for each hour it made me colder.
With a whisper He made a reply, and answered my why.

"Will guard your hearts and minds”

A somber and well-put poem. You can feel revelation in your words, coming though in a time of need. A humbling sense comes over me when I read it. Thank you for sharing.
