How did it happen?
And when exactly...
Do you even know?
Was it me, something I did?
Maybe it was something I said?

How did you stop loving me?
Forgive me for being curious,
But I just don't understand.
One minute you're hugging me,
The next you're kissing another.

So when did you stop loving me?
Why won't you just tell me?!
Why is everything a big secret?
You used to tell me everything,
All your thoughts and desires.

Now I can't get a thing from you.
You forgot to kiss me goodnight.
You just climbed into bed
And then rolled over,
You left me sitting there alone.

When did I start to feel lonely?
How is it possible to be so lonely
When I am not really alone?
Or am I? Did you leave me
Without actually walking away?

Why won't you answer me?!
Why won't you bother to see me?!
I'm standing here, you know?
I'm screaming to you, hear me?
You just look away, as usual.

When, why, where, how?!
A million questions to go,
A million questions you won't answer!
Look at me! Look at me!
When, why? Tell me!

You didn't see me fall,
You didn't see me crumble.
I'm here at your feet in tears
And you won't touch me,
You won't make it go away.

You won't do a thing,
Not anymore, and it's because...
Because you don't love me,
Not anymore, or is it...
That maybe you never did?

You have only to ask and I will come. I will come on my own accord if I have the time and presence of mind to do so. Is SayAye on this site? Cause I'll go look when I have time. Arg! TIME!!! Grrr... I love the pic, though! Yay for Erestor and Glorfindel! I hope the poem isn't about them! Their relationship was going so well, too...

Hey, you guessed the elves! Nice! LOL! Have you ever seen any of SayAye's artwork? She's amazing.

And thanks for the comments! Yeah, this was the right one. I only posted it to the group because... well, I'm a comment freak. LOL! But I wasn't getting any looks and I'm always nervous about new poems. LOL! Silly me.

Is this the poem you wanted people to look at? I lost the link, somehow... Silly Kyla!!!

Another lovely write, hun!!! I especially adore the way that you wrote almost the whole thing in questions without sounding peevish, trite, or unsophisticated. You are truly talented... The last line was so beautifully sad! Very poignent and heart-wrenching write, I must say! The fourth and fifth were the saddest and most amazing stanzas of all, but you wrote this flawlessly, without a single weak spot or fault. Awesome job, sis!!!

The people in the pictures look like elves. Erestor and Glorfindel, perhaps, or just two random elves?

    WELL DONE

If this is fiction. How well you undertsand the emotion. Yes it is dreadful to feel your love has gone. Partners cannot hide the inner feelings and it's so evident when they are up to something. Like having an affair.
You have every right to love this poem. It is well written, has a great flow and is structured so that reading is easy and enjoyable.

wow this is a wonder piece of poetry I wish that I could write that deep! I have been through the same stuff and it really does hurt! I used to cry myself to sleep hoping that everything would be back to normal the next morning that it was all a dream but when I woke up I always knew it was a reality and thats what hurts the most the shocker that its all true and that you don't know what you did wrong or what you did to make them go away!! I know what its like because I thought I was pregnant and then he left me so that I could take care of it myself but thank god that I'm not becasue then I'd have the memory of him all the time

Sure, feel free. This is one of my favorites. Actually, you had a butterfly one you used way back when. If I can borrow that, too, we can just trade! LOL!

In the fourth stanza, last line, you have left out a word.

This is amazing, as are all your works! I could see the writer sitting all alone, and I can certainly ralate to lonliness without being alone. I spent the largest part of 18 years that way.

This is sad, very emotional and heart wrenching. You have brought out so many different feelings that it's amazing! At one point, letting go is the only thing available, and yet, how can one do so? So many questions, no answers. Great job on this, my dear sister. Hugs, Patricia

Umm, may I borrow this wonderful background?
