Frost

The taste of Frost
On the tip of the tongue
Arouses senses
Cold escapes from the lungs
She falls to the floor
With just one taste
Surrounded by the love
That he has graced
He slowly lifts her
And places her on the bed
So many emotions
Running through his head
This infection
Is what draws her close?
But with every touch
She’s hit with another dose
His demons are what
Plead her to call
But falling in love
Doesn’t mean that you really have to fall
Condemned to be stuck
Between love and hate
She must decline
No matter how cruel the fate
He will never let go
No matter how dead she becomes
He will fight the cold
As everything numbs
Killing his demons
One at a time
Devouring himself
For her to live through his prime
The constant struggle
Has finally ended
He couldn't save her life
But he has also wilted
Love may conquer all
But not in the best of ways
They may appear to be gone
But they are just faded in the haze...
