You left me here, lost in my tears
without a goodbye, with only my fears

You left by choice, leaving me to grieve
My heart in pieces, no dreams to achieve

So many answers only you can give
Why did you die? Why didn't you live?

Some say your in Hell, some will never see
you are waiting in Heaven to someday greet me

You are gone, from this world, gone from sight
In my dreams you live on, an Angel in flight

My Miracle is with you, you tell her of my love
Belle here with me, “Aunt Nancy lives above"

Life goes on, the years flying by
Mom still laughs, though I see her cry.

You didn't think about us when you chose to end your life
You didn't think of the heartache, the pain, the strife

 

Here I am below you, crying once more
searching for the answers, in the days before

 

You left me here, Nancy to cry
searching for the answers, of why you chose to die.

This is for my sister Nancy who overdosed in 1997....so many unanswered questions...I was left behind.

    This is heartwrenching! (love your background!) I have known anyone that took their own life in anyway, but you did a fantastic job on this. Best of luck in the contest that we are both entered in.

    Aww..I'm sorry to hear this is true. This s really good, it holds so much emotion..and it just really hit me hard. It makes the reader rething of wanting to kill themselves..atleast for me, it does. This is alos very inspiring..and everyone should read this..so they don't make the same mistake. Good job, and good luck.

    Beautiful write! I loved the rhyming scheme and the flow. it jus flowed perfectly. Alot of emotion put into this. sorry for your losss nice write. good luck.

    Heaven is a place, where forgiveness is given. I dont believe a good person, who makes a mistake, goes to hell, even if they didnt believe in God. I am unsure if I believe that a loving caring compassionate God would turn away someone who did good, for any reason. I bet your Nancy is in heaven, waiting for you, to welcome you Home.

    this is a beautiful and touching write.. some answers, we will never know, and some are better left that way.

    Oh yes..very sad and emotional indeed. I love the background though, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't know how I would feel if this happened to me...I would be in such heartache...Good job and keep strong.
