As I slowly fall apart,
Hitting the floor,
Seeming to fall in slow motion.
The excuses are already rolling off your tongue
Why you just had to hit me this time
Why there was no way that you could stop yourself
And how you're so, so sorry
But it's to late for sorry now.
Whatever we had,
Is gone.
It's too late for words to cure your problem
Too many times I've held my tongue.
Tears stream down my face
As I cry for what could have been,
For what should have been
But you had to do it
And you had to ruin it,
And now,
Our chemistry is gone
Your life is ruined
And mine forever changed
All because you couldn't
Withstand the urge
To hit me
To hurt me
To kill me
I survived,
But barely,
I can't move my left side
And I can't hear.
I can only see bright, contrasting colors,
All because you were drunk
And high on heroin
And couldn't control
The effect your addiction had on you
So now, I'm gone forever
Never to return

thanx a lot. i'm not really sure where my inspiration comes for a lot of my poems, including this one, because it's not something that i've gone through or that anyone i know has gone through.
