Friendship

I do not seek sympathy or comfort to say the least
I want this feeling inside of me to finally be released
So strong a bond could not surpass
I will never forget
I could never put it in the past it's something we'll never regret
I'll pray tonight in hopes of gain for loss has overwhelmed me
I listen to the falling rain and hope that you can save me
Until the day we see the end you will guide me through
You're my best friend
I could never replace you
You'll always be the best until our dying day
You gave me friendship and then the world how I feel wont ever change
Someday, somehow we'll be just fine
Like you said once, "We'll have our bond
Until the stars lose their shine and the sun is forever gone"
Until then I'll always wonder how encouraging it might be
To pull myself from six feet under and have you set me free
In this hole I wait for you though forever seems so long
None the less I speak the truth I'll make myself strong
A hymn, a simple symphony played by the touch of you're hand
Could relinquish the fire you set in me and help you understand
You're the one I can't let go oh heaven speak thy name
Guide this friendship yet even though it'll never be the same...
