One Teardop More

I sit here crying, why do I cry? Who knows, could it be the memories? I don't know. Could it be the weather? The beginning of the winter depression? I don't know. Could it be that even amongst this love that I have here, I still feel so alone? Very possibly, I've always been alone, I always will. I'm going to sit here and write, see what comes falling from my fingertips.

One Teardrop

One teardrop falls from a baby's cheek,
One teardrop falls for the love that she seeks.
One teardrop falls for the slaps that are given,
One teardrop falls for the times they're forgiven.

One teardrop falls from a small girl's cheek,
One teardrop falls for the love that she seeks.
One teardrop falls for the pain that she feels,
One teardrop falls for the hatred it seals.

One teardrop falls from a young woman's cheek,
One teardrop falls for the love that she seeks.
One teardrop falls for the daughter lost,
One teardrop falls for what love does cost.

One teardrop falls from a Mother's cheek,
One teardrop falls for the love that she seeks.
One teardrop falls for their turning away,
One teardrop falls for she loves them, come what may.

One teardrop more from this woman's thought,
One teardrop more for that love that I sought.
One teardrop more, for the love that is found,
One teardrop more, for a love so profound.

One teardrop more, for the feelings discovered,
One teardrop more for the heart that is recovered.
One teardrop more for all that is lost,
One teardrop more for what love does cost.

One Teardrop More For What Love Does Cost.
