Our love is forever

Missing image
I fell in love with a man beyond my wildest dreams
I adore him, he is everything I want it seems,
he gave me the love I have been seeking forever
I have known true happiness like no other.

Visions of life together kept me enthralled with him
I love this man, would call him on the slightest whim,
my friends would say to me ‘he’s not what he appears!
He’s not worth your time, your love, your tears.’

How could the love we feel for each other be wrong?
When I’m wrapped  in his arms it’s where I belong,
they don’t see the tender side of him that I know;
to the end of the earth with him I would follow.

Am I wrong to put my trust in him so completely?
when he looks at me with love ever so sweetly,
he is the man I intend to live my life with, to marry.
Forever from that day on I’ll be his darling Jenny.

This is a wonderfully written piece, I dont think it is wrong for someone to love someone that their friends dont approve of...like my sister always tells me.. you are going to see the passionate, loving and sweet side of him that he is never going to show to your friends because they are not intimate with him. Men most times come off gruff on the outside to people.. but when you are in love and you know them more deeply then you can understand both sides of them and not just the one that is .. well of male nature I guess you would say.
    great job on this
    Love,

I have a friend like this one that you write about. She is a great woman and the reason that I write; she is my inspiration. She encourages me like no one else, and my wife likes her too, but they are not as close as she and I are. She began telling me that I could write a book when it was hard for me to write essays for my Comp clases, but eventually she convinced me that I could. Now it has been published a little over one year. If it hadn't been for my friend, it would never have been written at all. I think I have the right idea as to what kind of friend you are talking about, but then again you might be talking about a lover/friend. My wife, though, is my lover and I want no other; she is also a friend, but she doesn't help in my writing at all. She just doesn't encourage me in any way; although, she probably wouldn't like hearing me say that. Thanks for a wonderful read.

This is such a beautiful story. Sometimes friends cannot see the inner most part of a person but just see the outside. Love is a bonding of two souls into one. They share their innermost thoughts and feelings.. Your poem is as beautiful as love itself. You are such a gifted poet.. nice work my sweet...

I really loved how you told the story, it's beautiful. Even though you say it's just a fantasy, it really seems as though you have experienced it and as I read your piece it seemed I was experiencing it also. Great job!

    Sincere

I love how you kept this piece positive with such a negative sounding phrase that we had to use. The flow was excellent and the story that it conveyed was beautiful. Wonderful emotion and very well thought out. Sounds like something you may have experienced yourself
