He played with the toy soldier on the kitchen floor.
Like his daddy, the soldier stood straight and tall.
He missed his daddy with all his heart, he thought.
Far away in a troubled land, his daddy was missing him too.
Suddenly phone rang, then his mommy said I have a surprise for you.
Daddy got on a plane today and he is coming home.
The toy soldier lay forgotten on the floor as the little boy jumped for joy.
