A mothers Prayer

Sneaking into your room,
You’re so sound asleep in bed.
Looking so much like an angel,
There should be a halo on your head.
Your lashes rest so peacefully,
Making lines on your chubby cheeks.
I walk carefully across the floor,
Hoping not to wake you as it creeks.
I sit down on the side of your bed,
And softly rub your silky hair.
I thank god for giving me you,
And say my little prayer.
That he always keep you safe,
And have angels watch over you.
And that you always succeed,
In what ever it is you will do.
I get up sneaking out of your room,
And back to my own bed.
To where dreams for your future,
Will dance in my head…

wow, that picture is amazing! Is it actually you, or is it photoshop or something? As for the poem, it was so sweet and love filled. It flowed very smoothly and I enjoyed it very much!

this is a beautiful poem and so very true when mine where little i would often "sneak' in and watch them sleep. personally i might beak it up like this
    Sneaking into your room,
You’re so sound asleep in bed.
Looking so much like an angel,
There should be a halo on your head
