Sand

Can’t help the way I feel
As my skin begins to peal
My thoughts coming to light
Now all you want to do is fight
Because I am speaking my mind
Acting as if it is some big crime

In no way am I on assault,
You on the other hand,
Sees the wound and pours the salt.

Face it; face it
You are blind
Can’t see
Lost in the sand storm
Admit it; admit it
If you can
Be the man
And walk away

Happening right in front of you
Yet you don’t see what you’re going through
You are getting used again
Why can’t you just understand?
I was there for you when it happened once
Don’t know if I will be there for you twice

Perceived as attacks
But you on the other hand
Need to face the facts

She used you
She abused you
Now she is confusing you
While you are weak
She throws sand in your eyes
Turn her back and just saying it's love
Now you are blind by faux love
You can’t realize it

Tried to be the water your eyes need
Except my act is offensively perceived
Can’t you just see?
You’ve become an asshole; -
A jerk
Throwing your life away
Skipping class
Just for this girl that is using you

I tried to help
You will regret it when she mends your heart
Only to shatter it to pieces again…
