      The Goodnight Song

This night, I lay myself to sleep
To rest My little eyes and feet
And only good dreams will I dream
Because I know Mommy and Daddy loves me
Now I lay myself to sleep
To rest my little eyes and feet.

Author notes

I made this up for my 9 year old when she was born  . Now her 3 year old sister chimes in and every night we must sing the "Good night song". This was an alternative to "Now I lay me down to sleep"...

    Aw that's cool how it's actually a real song. I'm not a huge fan of short poems...or in this case, lyrics...but you did this really well. I like it
