oh the evilness of the little black book...lol! nicely written short! very interesting title. it really sums it up all together...lol
-
this is a teaser setting the reader's imagination free to guess the book's contents...troves of names equal to tales of adventure, series of trysts, bursts of passion...etc etc etc...lol, i dont have one...never had one! they're all mixed up with lists of business associates and friends...kidding...i'm a good guy..havent cheated...yet (only mental cheating)
thanks for comment on "sunset"...like both sunset and sunrise...for photograph purposes...there's magic in the skies at these times....

Just stopping by I noticed that I hadn't even read this one! Shame on me!!! Awesome haiku! Made me think of a mischievious man lurking behind the open with his little book!

Its simplicity almost made me overlook it, but it was the simplicity of this piece that made me study it, expecting to find something more. I did, though not what I anticipated. Instead I considered the poem's perspective and considered how utterly sublime perspective is. I considered, though this may not have been the piece's intent, that what the "first person" of the piece sees may have an entirely different weight and meaning, communicated the same way, than what I see. This piece, more than anything else it accomplished, made me appreciate the difference in languages of gender, and the subcontext of meaning inherent in the structure of gender-specific perspectives (particularly) and cultural variations (generally). Thanks.

I loved this. It made me laugh because my boyfriend really does have a little black book. It is so old and tattered and I always tease him about but he won't give it up. There is something tangible in having a real black book verses on the technology we have today. Plus I think he kind of thinks about it in a "knotch on the belt" small victories lay in each number. I am going to forward this on to him. Great haiku, simple yet still it evoked many thoughts.

exquisite!
I love little detailed observations like this...! -
the imagery created with this haiku is truely amazing...uve really chosen a subject not many would think of....and thats why i like this piece so much. Its got its own individuality and yet created a mental picture with simplicity
talent all the way!!! well done!!
