God surely has blessed my weekend
Charles was here for three whole days
we went to the air show Saturday
the Blue Angels took our breath away
I got lost in the crowd for two hours
the rain poured down upon my head
soaked to the bone walking over a mile
I conked out when I fell into bed.
Now Charles is always a prankster
He said look in the bag and you will see
rattle snake eggs, then made a sound
Charles scared the crap out of me.
Sunday was so very special to me
Charles and I went to church to pray
he looked handsome in his Navy uniform
I was so proud of my son that day.
After our worship I made breakfast
and then we played cards for a while
we talked to our friends on allpoetry
all day long he made his mom smile.
Charles confided things to me
things deep within his heart and soul
he loves me enough to share his pain
as we talked he began to feel whole.
Monday morning he made me breakfast
It was the sweetest thing he could do
they we went to watch the parade
army soldiers and marching bands too.
He thought he backed into a truck
parking the car on a very steep hill
he was so nervous, white as a ghost
not wanting to pay the repair bill.
It was picnic time at my daughters
there Charles met the family today
it was a party for sweet Shawna Jean
my granddaughter had her 16th birthday
Then it was time to say goodbye
I knew that would be so hard to do
we hugged and said I love you too
with tears we said God bless you.
Each time he leaves I miss him so
for now he is truly a son that I love
he takes a part of my heart each time
I am so blessed from God above.

Charles you made this such a wonderful weekend for me. You always make me feel special as your mom. You will never know how you touch my heart son. I could not ask for a sweeter more loving son then you. My heart will always be filled with love for you.I will always be here for you.You are ablessing and so faithful to God. You have taught me to put no one above him. I shall always be grateful for your encouragement and your patience with teaching me the scriptures. I miss your smile and laughter and sweet songs already. God bless you. I love you son. Always you Mom for eternity.

Awww, Charles is too lucky. I'm glad you had an awesome weekend Mom. I've been praying for you alot. I wish I was there, but I couldn't complain about this weekend. I got a cupple of new songs down this weekend and had a very spirit filled cupple of days.
