Summertime Bliss

Fire showing,
fire glowing,
fire growing,
fire snowing.

Burning bright,
flashing light,
raising height,
cannot fight.

Ending not,
wasted rot,
savored shot,
white hot.

Never wrong,
lasting long,
smoky song,
godly bong.

Pain inflicted,
life constricted,
hope restricted,
exist conflicted.

Where has the peace gone?
the angel's golden halo pawned,
watch the young,
playful fawn,
as fire consumes the early dawn.

godly bong. < I don't really get this line.

    Where has the peace gone?

    playful fawn,
as fire consumes the early dawn.

Good ending. Really closed up this piece. The rhyming in this threw me off for a moment, but I was able to reread this piece and get a flow going. I liked this, but than again, I like almost all of your work anyway. Hehe, good job...LOVE THE TITLE!
