Double Rich

When the phone doesn't ring
the computer doesn't "pling"
And you are silent as the ocean
in the deepest of it's caves
My heart cannot be saved
'Cause you're pushing me away

And all the ways in which
money doesn't count
To me you seem double rich
so what is this about?
You avoid the skies with clouds
Your heart just locks it out
What are you about?

When you beat on that drum
to the beat of that song
I can see you loose your soul there
And I just wish I was there
simply 'cause I truly care
Is that kind of love so rare?

And all the ways in which
money doesn't count
To me you seem double rich
so what is this about?
You avoid the skies with clouds
Your heart just locks it out
What are you about?

With the sweetest song you serenade me
then a minute later you are parading
With someone else
So what is that about?
With the kindest words you come speak to me
Do you care so much for being free
That you don't even
know what you feel inside?

wow this piece is amazing, it has a v. strong rhythm most of the way through and a origanal, unforced rhyme sceme throughout. i dunno what this piece is actually about but i can relate to what i asumed it was about in a past relationship and i think you have done an amazing job, well done -x-x-x-
