he was doing ninety five down the highway
I guess he was in a hurry to see me
this will be such a wonderful day.
With guitar and suitcase in his hand
got gas and grabbed some Dr. Pepper
put the car in gear and sped away
is he in a hurry to get here? yepper!!
He called on the phone while en route
Pennsylvania was his final destination
the excitement was building steadily
his arrival was so full of jubilation.
Walked in the door with bags in hand
then we stood and hugged each other
God had blessed us one more time
bringing together a son and mother.
Well he sat and ate his favorite meal
spaghetti and meat balls and sausage too
he had to eat it with bread and butter
we sat and talked till dinner was through.
Then Charles really made me happy
he begins to play his guitar and sings
it was so joyful to hear his sweet voice
I feel blessed for the happiness it brings.
We were on the computer with Niki
and then she was on the cell phone
we called his dad so we could talk
you know Charles he is never alone.
We will have such a wonderful weekend
God has brought us together on allpoetry
we came together through our love for God
now our love is bonded in faith so deeply.

On The Road Again

On the road again
heading down south
While driving away
I open up my mouth
I sing my music loud
where anyone can hear
I see Sandy's house
I am getting near
The excitement boiling
the hairs begin to rise
I see her on the porch
oh the tears in her eyes
I get out of the car and
run and jump in her arms
I scream out in exciting joy
and flatter her with my charms
So we walk on inside
and then take a seat
I begin to dance and sing
as I listen to the beat
Get down, turn around
and act like a clown
Make a sound, go to town
and buy my a golden crown
I grab my guitar
I sing some songs
I watch her dancing
as I strum along
So while I'm with Sandy
oh what fun it will be
When I get to hug her
and smile so gleefully
WooHoo, Is what I'll say
Oh what a Spantastic day
We'll bow our heads, begin to pray
and that will be the greatest day

I'm gonna be in West Side Story this summer, and start my swimming training again so I can be on the team again in the fall. And I don't know what else I'll do.
