Far Shadow

As I see you in a shadowy place
And I know at once
I recognize that face
and I can't forgive the lie

As I see you in a shadowy place
And I know you are sorry
I recognize that look
and I can't give in to your sorrow

As I see you in a shadowy place
And I know that I should forgive
I recognize your shame
And I can't stand strong anymore

As I see you in a Shadowy place
And I know that you once were a friend
I recognize your grief
And I can't be your friend anymore

As I see you in a shadowy place
And I know that I'm being the one thing I hate
I recognize my fault though
And I can't forgive your words

As I see you in a shadowy place
And I know that you won't understand
I recognize that if the truth were there
And I can't pretend not to know where you stand

As I see you in a shadowy place
And I know at once
I recognize that face
and I can't forgive my lie

Author notes

Well...my friend is a homophobe...she pretty much said my friends were damned...and she didn't know I was bi, or that I knew what she said.

Don't get me wrong...I know that people all have there own beliefs, I'm actually friends with a lot of homophobes, though, the ones that remain my friends don't go around saying "Your going to HELL!!!!"

This was an exceptional poem. It could have been better but I guess it was good enough as it is. I am not the write but I still did like to read it. -Juarez
