For Charles (Onfire4Jesus)
There is a poet on this website
he is so funny and makes me smile
really so sweet and so debonair
kind of has his own southern style
He loves hot wings and fruit loops
Dr. Pepper to quench his thirst
so if there is only one can left
you know Charles will grab it first
He really knows the Holy Bible
he never paid attention in school
when it comes to citing scripture
well Charles, he ain't nobody's fool
He helps the homeless each week
teaches basketball to the youth
well mannered a real gentleman
his jokes will never be uncouth
He has a sore knee that really hurts
but he will still kneel down and pray
his user name is Onfire4Jesus
and his fire burns bright everyday
He is a good samaritan in every way
his pure heart of gold shines bright
Charles has helped so many people
he is an angel sent to this website
If you need a daily dose of Jesus
just go and read his spiritual poetry
a few months ago I started reading
it has helped my weak Christianity
He helped my faith become stronger
I learned the scriptures day by day
we worshipped in song and in prayer
Charles is talented in so many ways
Our friendship has turned to love
the love between a mother and son
bonded through the love of God
we share so much love and fun
The laughter that we share together
puts so much joy into my heart
when he sails out to sea this year
I shall miss my son when we're apart
He'll be under the sea in a submarine
serving his country making me proud
when he's gone I'll sing "Just Like John"
I will sing it for him and sing it real loud
I could not have a sweeter son then him
he is a blessing bestowed upon me
given to me to love as my own son
I promise to be the best mom I could be

This was written from my heart. for Charles (Onfire4Jesus). A heart that God has filled with love since I accepted God into my heart last July with the help of another wonderful poet on here (live4eternity). This website has changed my life completely. And Charles has been there while I struggled with my faith. He is the most caring and loving person. I love him dearly as my son. A christian who builds my faith and makes it strong. I can't even begin to say how much he has done for me and how much he means to me. He makes me feel so loved as a mom everyday. He is a wonderful loving son and I will always be there for him, just as he has been there for me. I love you Charles. God Bless you and keep you safe. I'll love you for eternity and forever be your mom.

Thank you for reading my poem and commenting on it. As far as the beat and rhyme, this was a personal poem written from my heart for my Ap son whom I love dearly. . The words are what mattered to me. I appreciate the advice though. Take care, Sandy

This is a nice poem, but the rhyming scheme, although does not blur the meaning, isn't very strong. The beat is off when the rhymes come through. Good poem, good luck. God Bless
