Conquest of Anguish

As he sat upon his throne,
His face was shadowed, only eyes were shown.
He grew tired of this world to die,
He though "Domination, lets give it a try."

He withdrew from his pocket a tattered book,
Opened a page and hazards a look.
And inscribed upon that page,
Words of a fearful sage.

An enchantment was placed upon the rift,
Only dark magic would make it shift.
A powerful spell would open the gate,
And a painful future he would create.

He grabbed and drank from his chalice,
Throughout his mind were thoughts of malice.
His drank the blood of those in death,
Red Vapor escaped with every breath.

He channeled his energy, gaining more,
Interrupted by a large knock of the door.
"Enter," he said with a weary tone.
A man had entered; half flesh, half bone.

"Sir, our troops are ready,
In battle stance, shields hang steady.
We need the portal exposed,
And the planets fate shall be enclosed."

"Excellent, let us begin,"
He said, scratching his chin.
"I shall open the void,
And their life shall be destroyed."

He strode towards his ready troops,
Battle formation and together in groups.
He began to cast the deadly spell,
And the void ripped forth, the entrance did swell.

A smirk upon his pale face,
One that lacked a sign of grace.
The chaos lord began his descend,
To a world, which’s future might end.

this is scary and deep and dark. I love it, I really do. It sounds like an epic novella/poem in the making. Bravo Sirky
